New Orleans Breakers beat Pittsburgh Maulers

The New Orleans Breakers beat the Pittsburgh Maulers in the USFL today. While both teams are 2-2 in the 10-week season, the Breakers had a better first half. While the Pittsburgh Maulers are just one win shy of claiming their first victory, they didn’t look as sharp in the second half.

After falling behind in the first half, the Pittsburgh Maulers tried to rally. Their first drive ended in a punt and they failed to convert a third down. On their next drive, the New Orleans Breakers put on a fantastic march down the field. Their offense was led by quarterback Jordan Ellis, who ran the ball effectively and punched in from five yards out. New Orleans went into the halftime break up 10-0.

In the fourth quarter, the Maulers were moving the ball down the field and were in position to tie the game. However, Ike Brown intercepted a pass and returned it 97 yards for a touchdown. After tying the game at 16-16, New Orleans ran out the clock to end the game. They took nearly four and a half minutes to complete their drive and ended with a Bertolet field goal.

Memphis Mad Dogs beat New Orleans Stallions

The Memphis Mad Dogs were a team in the United States Football League (USFL). The team won the Grey Cup in 1995 and the first CFL championship since the team’s inception. The team had a very strong defense led by perennial all-stars Greg Battle and Tim Cofield. However, their offense was near the bottom of the league. The team’s starting quarterback was Damon Allen, a former 1,000-yard rusher in the USFL and NFL. He passed for only 11 touchdowns against 13 interceptions.

The Stallions’ offense was able to capitalize on the early deficit. After a turnover by the Mad Dogs on their first possession, the Stallions went on a 21-play, 85-yard drive led by Sloter’s 47-yard TD pass to wideout Marlon Williams. The Stallions’ offense was able for the rest of the game.

New Orleans’ offense was not able to capitalize on its big play, so the offense couldn’t move the ball down the field. Eventually, the Saints missed a field goal. After that, they missed a field goal on their final drive. The game was tied at 17-all as New Orleans attempted to march down the field.

Atlanta Gamblers win over Pittsburgh Maulers

Atlanta Gamblers quarterback Vad Lee threw a two-touchdown touchdown to Bailey Gaither in the fourth quarter to lead the Gamblers to a 34-31 win. The Maulers’ offense was outplayed by the Gamblers’ defense, but the team was able to hold onto the ball and beat the Maulers’ defense in the fourth quarter. Houston has now lost three straight games in the final seconds.

After a delayed Sunday game, the USFL is back in action with Week 1 of spring football. The South Division has had the better start, but all eight franchises have played well so far. The Atlanta Gamblers beat the Pittsburgh Maulers and are in position to win their division.

Atlanta will be looking for a similar performance in its next game against the Maulers. In a rematch against the Pittsburgh Maulers, Gaither should play the entire game, as the Pittsburgh Maulers are a run-first team. Although Gaither has not played since high school, he will provide Love with familiar routes. The duo connected three times off seven targets for 42 yards and gave Love an outlet to throw.

Philadelphia defeats Pittsburgh Maulers in Week 9

The Philadelphia Stars have been surging, and this week’s game against the Pittsburgh Maulers should be a good gauge for where they stand in the standings. The Pittsburgh Maulers have been awful this season, running through four starting quarterbacks in nine games. With a win, they would get some much-needed respite from a dreadful season.

The Stars and Maulers meet in the USFL’s Week 9 Sunday Night Game. The Stars have won two straight, and the Maulers haven’t. Philadelphia is in the playoffs, while Pittsburgh isn’t yet. This game is important for both teams, as both are fighting for their playoff spots.

The Stars have racked up 116 points over the last three weeks. Despite being without star Bryan Scott, the team is peaking at the right time. However, a win against the Maulers will only take them so far, and the Stars must beat Michigan in week 10 to make the week 10 showdown.

New Orleans Breakers lose to Memphis Mad Dogs in Week 4

The New Orleans Breakers fell to the Memphis Mad Dogs in Week 4, but they didn’t lose much, either. Their offense was solid, and they had a strong special teams performance. Kicker Taylor Bertolet kicked 3/4 field goals but missed one. They played well against the passing attack, but they must find a way to stop the running game. In their next game, the Breakers face the New Jersey Generals.

While the Breakers started the year strong, the offense couldn’t sustain the success they had in the first three games. Running back Mark Thompson was inconsistent, and quarterback Kyle Sloter had a difficult time breaking the ball. He completed only 26 of his 41 passes for 398 yards and three interceptions.

Jacksonville Sharks beat Memphis Mad Dogs

The Jacksonville Sharks topped the Memphis Mad Dogs on the road in their first game of the season. The team was led by quarterback Ryan Leaf, who passed for over 300 yards and four touchdowns in the game. The game was broadcast on ESPN, so fans from all over could watch it live.

The Jacksonville Sharks beat the Memphis Mad Dogs by 24 points. That win helped the Sharks to move into first place in the standings. The Mad Dogs dropped to third place. The team has been struggling lately, with the bankruptcy of its former parent company and departures of several key players.

San Diego Chargers beat San Diego Chargers in Week 4

After a dismal 2021 season, the Chargers offense has too much talent to fall to the same level. Their defense, on the other hand, ranks near the bottom of the league in many key categories. They rank near the bottom in third down success, fourth-quarter points allowed, and red zone efficiency. If the Chargers want to improve, they will need to upgrade their defense. If they do, they’ll have to stop making excuses for players like Brandon Staley.

The Chargers are also dealing with injuries. Their star quarterback, Justin Herbert, is dealing with a rib injury. He opted to play through the injury, despite his limitations. Herbert ended up having one of his worst games of the season. This slowed the Chargers’ ground game, which is already struggling to find consistency.

The Chargers are coming off a tough loss to the Houston Texans. They’ve had a disappointing start to the season, but have a great chance to get back on track by beating the Texans on Sunday. However, this team has to stay focused and hungry in order to avenge that blowout loss.

Birmingham Stallions win over Memphis Mad Dogs in Week 4

The Birmingham Stallions defeated the Memphis Mad Dogs in Week 4 and improved to 14-4 on the season. They also beat the Tampa Bay Bandits in their playoff opener. However, they lost to the Philadelphia Stars in the Eastern Conference title game. The Stallions have also added former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Jim Smith to their roster. They also have veteran quarterback Cliff Stoudt and running back Joe Cribbs.

In the Week 4 game, the Stallions played the Memphis Mad Dogs in Memphis, Tennessee. This game was a must-win game for both teams. Memphis needed a win to move ahead of the Stallions while the Baltimore was looking to maintain its lead. Memphis opened the game with a field goal by Nick Mystrom from the 19-yard line. The game was tied before the second quarter after Carlos Huerta’s touchdown. However, the Stallions tied it in the third quarter after Kendrick Jones caught a 17-yard pass from Rickey Foggie. After the game, Nick Mystrom made a field goal from 35 yards.

While the Birmingham Stallions offense has struggled in the first month of the season, they have improved their defensive performance. In Week 3 they held the Orlando Power to 21 points and only scored three points in the second half. The offensive line, meanwhile, has been inconsistent and erratic. As a result, the offensive line has not been able to open up much of a hole for a reliable run game. The wide receivers have also been inconsistent, with no receiver getting more than three catches.
